![]() ![]() Give it modern trappings, the L100 Classic is expected to be more neutral tonally and able to deliver music enjoyment in a wider range of musical genres. The L100 Classic retains the high and mid frequency L-pad attenuators on the front baffle. This speaker boasts a one-inch titanium dome tweeter, five-inch pure-pulp cone midrange driver, a slamming 12-inch cast-frame, white pure-pulp cone woofer and a single front-firing port tube. The new L100 Classic retains the vintage styling, including the retro-inspired design Quadrex foam grille (with enhanced material to prolong its integrity). The original L100 came out in 1970, and was designed mainly to suit rock music fans, given that it was the Woodstock era. The event started off with a short briefing by AV Designs’ Tony Low, who gave guests the lowdown on the revamped design of the original L100. ![]() The event was done on a small scale, in accordance with the current RMCO SOP but that did not stop the organiser from showcasing what the musical enjoyment the L100 Classic can provide to listeners. THE JBL L100 Classic model was officially launched for the Malaysian market by AV Designs Sdn Bhd on Friday (Aug 26), along with its baby brother, the L82 Classic, and the 4312G and 4312MII from JBL’s Studio Monitors series. ![]()
